Usage data: We log API requests including video IDs, timestamps, response times, and status codes. This data is tied to your account for billing and analytics purposes.

Payment information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers or bank details on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain our transcript API service
• To process payments and manage your credit balance
• To send transactional emails (sign-in links, purchase confirmations, quota alerts)
• To monitor and improve service performance
• To prevent abuse and enforce rate limits

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party services that are essential to our operations:

• Stripe — Payment processing
• Resend — Transactional email delivery
• Supadata — YouTube transcript retrieval (we send YouTube URLs only)
• Supabase — Database hosting

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Request logs are retained for 90 days for analytics, then aggregated. You can request account deletion at any time by contacting us.

5. Security

API keys are hashed using SHA-256 before storage. Authentication tokens are signed JWTs with expiration. All communication uses HTTPS. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

6. Your Rights

7. Cookies

We use localStorage to store your authentication token. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
